Hugo & Oscar

Hugo concept art

Here are more sketches for Hugo, following George Méliès through the streets of Paris. During my research I came across the films of French director René Clair and must have been so impressed that all my illustration ended up in black and white only. Strangely, everyone seemed to be okay with it.

Hugo concept art

Funny enough, it is a b/w silent movie that takes a well deserved win at the Oscars®. Hugo gets credit for the Best Achievement in Art Direction and is awarded for Excellence in Production Design by the Art Directors Guild.

Congrates on Hugo doing so well at the oscars bud.
Love your work. Keep on posting.

Any advise you might give to a young gun promoting himself as a concept artist?
